Catherine Truc-Cam Nguyen is a student at Presentation High School, a Catholic school in Northern CA. She has been raised in a family with two generations of violinists, however, Catherine's hobbies are singing, photography, and film making. In 2010, she raised enough money from her CD album for 400 back-to-school gifts to award to unfortunate kids in Vietnam. In August 2010, she flew to Vietnam and presented these gifts to kids in person. During this trip, Catherine was invited as the youngest guest for a two hour long interview on the most well-known radio station in Vietnam, Xone FM. Catherine released her second CD album, which features Vietnamese folk songs as well as English songs, with two famous Vietnamese singers as her special guests. All proceeds went to helping unfortunate children in Vietnam. Catherine recently created a campaign called "Us & Kids" in an effort to create more opportunities for unfortunate kids in Vietnam. For the first campaign, she collaborated with her friend to design t-shirts. With the money raised, they will purchase school supplies for children attending schools in remote areas of Vietnam.
