"I still remember the first Viet Dreams event I attended with my family and seeing the pictures of these underprivileged schools in Vietnam. Hearing the statistics of the number of deaths and sickness that occur due to the lack of access to clean water really disturbed me and made me think about how lucky I was to be able to live in America. When the pictures of the elementary schools and children popped up on the screen, I couldn’t help but be moved by the fact that these kids won’t have access to clean drinking water, which could essentially kill them. I asked my mom if I could donate some of the graduation money I had received earlier that month. She looked at me and I saw in her eyes that she was very proud of me for doing something like this.
